Genuine US Military issue, used throughout the Vietnam War
A 1953 dated aluminium 1 qt. canteen with a 1962 dated 1st pattern cotton trim M-1956 cover. The cup is dated 1953, made by ASCO with a folded lip.
The canteen has corrosion on the bottom as seen and is slightly perforated.
The snap on the right flap has come away from the fabric and will not secure properly, however, the fabric may be pushed over the snap to hold it down.
