Genuine US Military issue

Dated 1977 with a 1st pattern metal buckle (surplus from the M-1956 system)

The LC-1 webbing system was introduced in 1974, shortly before the end of the Vietnam War. LC-1 was predated by the M-1967 MLCE (Modernized Load Carrying Equipment) system (and the short-lived, experimental LINCLOE system) which were the first LBE (Load Bearing Equipment) systems to adopt nylon in favour of cotton canvas which proved to be ineffective in the wet and humid tropical environment of Vietnam. The introduction of Nylon webbing equipment in the harsh climate of Vietnam solidified its necessity and its vastly improved durability over cotton canvas. The LC-1 system features many parts and components that are similar to those of the M-67 system, but with some improvements to ergonomics, durability, accessibility, and modularity. These improvements made LC-1 a more versatile and efficient load-carrying system. LC-1 webbing was used throughout the 1980s, into the 1990s, and early 2000s when it was replaced by the MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) system.

Used in excellent condition with very minor signs of wear as seen.
