Genuine British Army issue
Dated 1944
A very lovely British Army 'Commando' Bergen. Notably worn by Royal Marine Commandos and SAS. This example is made with two bolts of green fabric which offers a striking contrast between the khaki straps. These later green packs were used during the D-Day landings in Normandy and throughout the final years of World War 2.
In excellent condition with minor wear as seen. All parts, fittings and fixtures are present and working. All equipment straps are present. The date stamp is visible as shown. There is some very light staining & discolouration as seen. All leather parts are strong and supple. Metal parts show some light patina. The rubberisation on the inside is mostly intact but is showing signs of deterioration.
