Genuine US Military issue

These parkas were used by the US Army's 10th Mountain Division during WW2. Completely reversible, this parka sports Olive Drab No.3 on one side and pure snow white on the other. It has a number of utilitarian features designed for practicality in cold weather including two lower pockets and two upper hand warming pockets. It has a concealed Talon brand reversible zip covered by a buttoned flap that extends the length of the parka. There are three snaps on the lower front that can be used to secure the two front panels together. The adjustable button cuffs and drawstring hood help to keep cold winds from penetrating the windproof cotton poplin shell.

Very good condition with some signs of wear and lots of character - There are a few sporadic period repairs as seen. The lowest button on the front closure is missing. There is a button on either cuff and a button on the collar that are broken, but we will provide replacements which can be found in the upper left pocket (see the last two photos). All other buttons, zips, fittings, and fixtures are present and working. There is some light sporadic staining/discolouration as seen.
