Original US Military issue
Circa. 1940s
A huge, oversized parka designed for mountain warfare, these were worn by the US Army 10th Mountain Division ski troops during WW2. Shown here with the khaki side out, it is entirely reversible and features a full-length talon brand zip and button front closure, two large pockets, and an adjustable hood. The waist belt utilises the same webbing and hardware as an M1 helmet chin strap.
Excellent condition with light signs of real wear - All zips, buttons, fittings, and fixtures are present and working. The contract label is present but faded. There is some light sporadic staining & discolouration as seen.
