Original US Military issue

A large framed rucksack, designed for use by the US Army 10th Mountain Division during World War 2. There is one large main compartment, secured with a drawstring and large flap with a map pocket inside. There are three more external pockets for smaller items that are secured by buckled leather straps.
In excellent condition with light wear for its age. All straps, fittings and fixtures are present and working as intended. There is some light surface rust on metal parts as seen. The leather parts are strong and supple with light wear.
