Genuine US Military issue

Named to R. A. Seybert

A rare 1st pattern HBT jacket, these were produced for only two years between 1941 and the autumn of 1942 until they were replaced by the simiplified 2nd pattern uniform.

Made from a soft selvedge cotton herringbone twill fabric. Features include a full-length metal 13-star button front closure, waist adjustment tabs, button-adjustable cuffs, a large collar, gusseted armpits, bi-swing back, and two pleasted breast pockets. These complicated-to-manufacture design features were the reason for it's replacement.

Excellent condition with very light wear. All buttons, fittings and fixtures are present and working. There is some very light discolouration and a few tiny, light stains.
