A lovely example of the grandfather to all modern field jackets. The M41 features a 100% cotton wind-resistant poplin shell, fully lined with a light wool blanket material. It displays a Talon brand zip with a button-secure storm flap. A true heritage garment, made when clothes were designed to last a lifetime.
This example displays a retrofitted genuine wartime 101st shoulder patch and airborne tab, hand-stitched in a style common to the era.
Excellent condition with signs of real wear - All zips, buttons, fittings and fixtures are present and working. There is some light discolouration and staining as seen. The collar has been flipped and stitched. There is a small patch repair on the back of the left cuff as shown.
