Displays originally applied insignia, including early gold-on-black silk US Army branch tape, a black-on-white stamped name tape, full colour Private rank chevrons, a 1st Infantry Division SSI, and a 16th Infantry Regiment pocket patch.

A first pattern (P59) utility shirt with squared pocket flaps. Made from a soft, midweight 100% cotton selvedge sateen with a full-length button front closure and two chest pockets.

Excellent condition with signs of real wear - All buttons, fittings and fixtures are present. There is some light sporadic staining and discolouration as seen. Excellent character.
