Original US Military issue
100% ripstop cotton poplin
Circa 1967
A rare poplin non-ripstop ERDL Tropical Combat Uniform Coat, printed with the early hard-edge variant M-1948 (Adapted) ERDL pattern.
This jacket was procured by USARV in 1967 as part of the very first order of ERDL camouflage uniforms to enter widespread use with specialized units in Vietnam. This order, and the subsequent use and further field testing of this first iteration of the ERDL pattern, paved the way for the service-wide, general issue of camouflage uniforms in the US Military.
