Circa 1960s
Displays originally applied insignia, including a silk gold-on-black US Army branch tape, full colour Major collar rank, Infantry collar branch patch, and a lovely, early teal Special Forces SSI with black Airborne tab.
An early 1st pattern (P58) utility shirt with squared pockets and brown dish buttons. Made from a soft, midweight 100% cotton selvedge sateen with a full-length button front closure and two chest pockets. Early contracts were stamped under the collar; on later examples, a contract label was affixed to the inside-lower closure flap.
Excellent condition with very light wear - All buttons, fittings and fixtures are present. The label is present and legible.
