Original Military issue
Circa. 1960s
A beautiful classic tigerstripe pattern known as 'Tadpole Sparse (TDS)' with the Johnson nomenclature, otherwise known as 'Silver' by some collectors. Introduced in 1964, this pattern was worn by US and ARVN forces until the end of the Vietnam War.
Made from an outstanding, soft Japanese midweight 100% cotton selvedge twill. It has bold black shapes and this example has a cool colourway with silvery hues. These trousers are made in an Anglo (US) cut with two cargo pockets, two waist-level pockets, and a cigarette pack pocket on the left leg.
Very good condition with signs of real wear as seen - All buttons, fittings and fixtures are present. Some fading/discolouration. There is a nicely made repair on the crotch, on the left leg and another on the right cuff as seen. There are some other minor sporadic repairs as seen. The size stamp is present and legible.
Stamped size 'A-M' (Asian Medium)
Flat garment measurements (inches):
Waist: 28"
Inside leg: 29"
