Original Military issue
Circa. 1960s
A beautiful classic tigerstripe pattern known as 'Tadpole Sparse (TDS)' with the Johnson nomenclature, otherwise known as 'Silver' by some collectors. Introduced in 1964, this pattern was worn by US and ARVN forces until the end of the Vietnam War.
Made from an outstanding, soft Japanese midweight 100% cotton selvedge twill. It has bold black shapes and this example has a cool colourway with silvery hues. These trousers are made in an Asian cut.
Excellent condition with very minor wear as seen - All buttons, fittings and fixtures are present. The size label is present and partly legible (A-M). The two cargo pockets and cigarette pack pocket have been removed, creating an almost 'utility' cut. There are some small breaks in the fabric from the removal of the pockets, otherwise, they are in near-mint condition with little to no wear. The colours are as vibrant and strong as the day they were printed.
Labelled size 'A-M' (Asian-Medium)
Flat garment measurements (inches):
Waist: 30"
Inside leg: 25"
