A custom, tailor-made party suit made for Captain Richard "Dick" Howell with the Strategic Air Command, US Air Force.
Party suits were a popular souvenir item among airmen serving in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. They were often embellished with locally-made insignia and direct embroidery. This example was made in Thailand, likely nearby to a US Airbase. It displays the name and rank of the original owner, USAF Officer Aircrew Wings, a Thai-made US flag patch, and a US-made Strategic Air Command patch.
