Original US Military issue
100% cotton non-ripstop poplin
A beautiful example of a 2nd pattern Tropical Combat Coat with wartime insignia. A 2nd pattern jacket can be identified by its epaulettes, waist adjustment tabs on the rear, and gas flap under the main closure, all of which were omitted with the introduction of the 3rd pattern. This example includes originally applied wartime insignia and is attributed to a Corporal of the 1st Aviation Brigade. The 1st Avi. Bde. SSI is a fantastic subdued Vietnamese-made, hand-embroidered example.
