The shirt appears to have been reissued, hence the shadowing under the existing patches. All present patches are original to the shirt and were applied during the period. The left shoulder SSI is the 91st Infantry Division, and the pocket patch is the 363rd Infantry Regiment - A rare example.
An early 1st pattern (P58) utility shirt with squared pockets and brown dish buttons. Made from a soft, midweight 100% cotton selvedge sateen with a full-length button front closure and two chest pockets. Early contracts were stamped under the collar; on later examples, a contract label was affixed to the inside-lower closure flap.
Excellent condition with light wear. All buttons, fittings and fixtures are present and working. There is some light, sporadic discolouration.
