A rare piece of equipment that surfaced during the Vietnam War. Introduced in 1967, the 'Vest, Carrier, Grenade, M-79' accommodated 24 rounds of 40mm ammunition and was widely used by grenadiers who carried the M-79, M203, and other grenade launchers. It features plastic snaps, a velcro and two-snap front closure, and an adjustable back strap.
In excellent condition with some wear as seen - All snaps, fittings, and fixtures are present and working. There is some discolouration as seen.
