Genuine US Military issue
A 1983-dated liner with a nylon PASGT sweatband. The cover appears to be original to the helmet.
This type of setup on an M1 helmet is typical for Marines circa 1970s to early 1980s. Similar helmet configurations were worn by Marines in Beirut and Grenada, circa 1983. While the PASGT helmet had already been introduced, there are numerous photographs of Marines wearing M1s with ERDL and Woodland camouflage covers. See final photographs.
All original parts are present and in good condition as shown. Original paint underneath. Shell has some dents as shown.
