This jacket was worn by a Special Forces Vietnam War veteran. All patches except for a Special Forces SSI have been removed, but from the shadowing, we can discern what insignia was previously present:
SF SSI on the right shoulder indicates prior wartime service.
Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB) and Jump wings above the left breast pocket
ARVN jump wings above the right breast pocket
Name and branch tapes
Collar rank and branch insignia
The loose patches shown in the photographs were found in the top right pocket and will be included in the sale.
100% cotton ripstop poplin
A 3rd pattern Tropical Combat Coat with a back yoke and straight cuffs.
Distressed condition with signs of real wear - Displays light staining, discolouration and repairs - Please study the photos carefully.
