Genuine US Military issue

Designed and developed in the early-mid-60s, the first contracts for these jackets were awarded in FY1965. These jackets were issued to US Air Force mechanics and other ground crew. A beyond-contemporary design for the period with an unusual and rather unusual design. Four slanted pockets, a soft knit collar, and a full 'General' brand zip closure.
The jacket is fully lined with a cotton blend twill shell and soft sateen lining.
In excellent condition with minor wear - Strong colour. All snaps, zips, fittings, and fixtures are present and working. There are a couple of small stains on the right cuff as seen.
