Bag dated 2003 - Early GWOT era - Iraq War / Afghanistan War.
The M3 bags were used throughout the 2000s, usually as Combat Lifesaver (CLS) Bags, kept inside vehicles. There are accounts from veterans describing that they were also occasionally worn over the shoulder on patrols.
