Original WW2 issue light brown holster, re-dyed black for issue during the 1950s/60s
Re-stained / re-dyed holsters were issued as old stock and commonly used throughout Korea and Vietnam. Note the indented line and light-brown stain under the closure flap - this indicates 1940s manufacture. Some of the black staining has worn away on the back and the original colour can be seen.
Overall excellent condition. Leather is strong and pliable. The original metal post remains and secures well. Ideal for display and can still be used as a practical item.
