Original WW2 issue light brown holster, re-dyed black for issue during the 1950s/60s
Dated 1944
Re-stained / re-dyed holsters were issued as old stock and commonly used throughout Korea and Vietnam. Note the indented line and light-brown stain under the closure flap - this indicates 1940s manufacture. Some of the black staining has worn away on the back and the original colour can be seen.
Overall excellent condition. Leather is strong and pliable. The hole that secures the main closure flap has widened and sits loose over the metal post.
