Original Post-Vietnam War era patch made in the US and used from 1974
The 17th Cavalry Regiment was assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division as well as Airborne Divisions throughout Vietnam. They flew OH6A Loaches, UH-1 Hueys and AH-1 Cobras and were responsible for Air assault, reconnaissance and resupply.
This patch is the post-war pattern worn for a short period from 1974 onward.
