A rare Blacks of Greenock brand mountaineering smock. Designed and manufactured in the 1950s and served as the predecessor to the 1960s/70s British Army Cadet smock.
It features a large velcro-secured map pocket, two lower pockets, concealed elasticated storm cuffs and an adjustable drawstring waist. The hood can be adjusted around the neck and face with a zip.
Made from a midweight tight-weave 100% cotton windproof canvas.
In excellent condition with minor signs of real wear - All fittings, and fixtures are present and working. The label is present.
It will comfortably fit a size small.
