Original Vietnam War era patch
Circa. 1960s
Military Airlift Command (MAC) was established in 1966 and provided long-range strategic airlift from bases in the United States to US airbases across the Western Pacific in aid of the War in Vietnam. MAC sent all kinds of equipment, supplies troops and weaponry to a number of airbases in South Vietnam such as Cam Rahn, Tan Son Nhut, Phu Cat and Bien Hoa. Amongst several notable missions, MAC played a key role in the airlift of US prisoners in North Vietnam during Operation Homecoming.
Uniform-removed - This patch has been used and shows some signs of wear and stitch marks.
This patch is full colour, fully embroidered with a low-merrowed edge.
