Genuine Military issue
Drawing significant inspiration from the German wartime Erbsenmuster pattern, Austrian 'Pea Dot' camo (AKA. KAZ 57) has a slightly more defined, subdued ochre colourway with warm, subtle tones. The pattern saw widespread use throughout the Austrian Military circa. 1950s-1970s with limited use beyond those dates. This example was made circa. 1960s.
Two patterns of this parka exist, this example being the latter, referred to as Kampfanzug 1959. Another oversized parka with simple, yet utilitarian design features. This example displays an originally applied Austrian 'Grenzschutz' (Border Guard) patch on the left sleeve.
