Genuine Military issue
A truly striking camouflage pattern, the post-war Splintermuster draws its overall design from the wartime pattern with only a few minor alterations such as white borders around shapes due to intentional print screen slippage and an altered colourway. The pattern is comprised of splintered brown and green shapes over a green-grey background with faint raindrops printed over the top. There are two notable colourways of this pattern, one with a blue-grey background and another with a green-grey background - This example being the latter.
Production of the pattern lasted only four years between 1956-1960 and was predominantly worn by Infantry and Airborne units of the Bundeswehr. Splintermuster was never fully integrated as a general issue pattern and began to be phased out circa. 1960.
