An extremely rare experimental item circa. 1983-1984, this parka was part of initial trials which led to the introduction of the Extreme Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWCS). The hood is shaped quite differently from the later production models and it lacks the snap fasteners and velcro around the brim.
Note the 'Experimental' stock number and the 'DAAK' contract number prefix which is exclusive to Natick trials items.
In excellent condition with minor wear as seen - The contract label is present and mostly legible. All buttons, fittings and fixtures are present and working.
